This information is for your awareness and part of the ongoing updates from the Public Health Team about MenB.

We appreciate that schools are preparing to finish for the summer break but if possible please do consider sharing this information with parents and staff who may have older children eligible for this vaccination.

Following the unprecedented MenB outbreak, primarily in Kent in March 2026, community pharmacies have been commissioned to deliver a one-off MenB vaccination programme to those who are at greatest risk. 

 

This programme is for young people born;

  • between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008

  • on or after 21 July 2001 and who are starting university or at some further education colleges for the first time this autumn.

Participating pharmacies are getting ready to offer vaccinations from Monday 20th July.
