Extra curricular activities include sports, languages, music lessons etc and usually complement an academic curriculum. Details of our extra curricular clubs offered by the school staff and outside organisations are posted on this page. Please be aware that these clubs are not to be used for childcare. If we have any staff sickness or last minute cancellation of clubs, there may be no alternative club/activity for your child to attend.

Choir Club
Miss Bridger and Miss Vince will be running our new Choir Club. The children will have the opportunity to sing a range of songs and hopefully be able to perform these at different school events throughout the year. The club will take place after school every Wednesday, starting from Wednesday 8th November for 6 weeks.
French & Spanish Club - LinguaTastic
Spanish Club is run during a Thursday lunchtime and French club will be held on a Thursday after school until 3.35pm. Should you wish to register your child, please e-mail info@linguatastic.com with their full name, class and campus. Places will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Girls' Football
Miss Gill and Miss Scarr will be running a weekly Girl's Football Club on a Friday.
Mindfulness Colouring Club
Mrs Arnold will be hosting a Mindfulness Colouring Club every Monday and Tuesday from 3.15pm until 4.00pm.
Mindfulness colouring can be used as a form of art therapy, which can improve focus and attention on your surroundings or your emotions at that time. This form of mindfulness can help children to calm their bodies and minds. It can support in creating a relaxed, positive environment which can in turn benefit behaviour, communication and emotional regulation. This form of colouring supports fine motor skills as well as allowing your child's mind to get some rest after a long day at school.
Nature Club
This club will be run by Mrs Ayling and will involve children exploring outdoors and completing engaging activities on the field and in our wonderful woodland areas. Research has shown that exploring outdoors can build children’s confidence, social skills and motivation and this club will endeavour to do this for your child. For any queries please contact admin@chjs.net
