One of our Year 6 Parents notified us a few weeks ago to a scheme running within the company she works for, Wates Group. In 2008 the Wates Family Enterprise Trust set up Wates Giving.
The programme's priority is to empower initiatives and make a real difference to society by operating a number of award schemes enabling Wates employees to raise additional funds for good causes.
As soon as we heard about this scheme we knew that this would be a fantastic opportunity for Greenbank Campus and set to work making a video to enter our school into the Wates '100 for 500 campaign' to try and be one of the lucky winners of £500 towards our ultimate goal of an 'outdoor classroom'.
Well the news is in.... We won! ️
We have been awarded with £500 which will go towards our outdoor classroom.
