HUGE congratulations to Liam N in Year 2, who competed in the National Schools Biathle Championships Dorset in May. Liam represented Castle Hill in the final against 26 other competitors. The event consists of a run, swim and then run again. This was Liam's first proper competition and it just so happened to be the National Championships!
He finished 6th and has now been invited to step up an age group to Under 9's to compete in the National Laser Run Championships.
Liam took part in the National Laser Run Championships in Birmingham on Sunday 23rd of June,a Laser Run consists of Shooting - Run - Shooting - Run. We had no real expectations but Liam excelled at the event and finished 4th, with the three boys in front of him all go to a private school in Dorset that specialises in these events. Liam finishing 4th meant he had the position to qualify for the European and World Championships. There was however a qualifying time of 2 minutes 40 seconds and he completed the event in 2 minutes and 31 seconds. Thus, Liam has achieved the qualifying for the European Championships in Germany and the World Championships in Budapest.
