Almost immediately upon arriving, after settling into their dorms, the first fox was sighted!

Year 6 are exhausted after their first day here. After lunch, the group donned their wellies and coats and ventured down to the to beach. There, they made their own own mini rockpools and collected living limpets, periwinkles, clams, muscles and anenomes and watched as they came alive. One group even caught a shrimp, which they named Barbara! The children also worked together to build giant sea side rainbows in the sand and even went foraging for fossils, with Dominic finding the first shark tooth!!

They are now having the first wildlife talk and are about to head into The Hide, where they are hoping to catch another glimpse of the fox, and if we are lucky, some badgers!

Everyone is very excited about the week ahead and already feel like they've been here for ages!
